It
has happened again. The president of the United States stood at the podium of the United Nations last week and once again apologized to the world for what he considers to
be the faults of America and America’s form of government. I could not disagree with his assessment of
America more.
What his apologies show me is that there is something wrong, badly wrong, and in need of fixing, with the current educational
system in America, a system that, in my opinion, has been hi-jacked by an elitist group of extremists who seem bent on indoctrinating
our school children against the one government in the world that was inspired by Jefferson’s God (note the New Jersey
children singing his praises, by name, last week – it sounds familiar, Germany’s children sang their Fuhrer’s
praises in the 1930s.) Now remember what happened to Germany, and to the German people who ‘elected’ that madman. Many say what happened to Germany can’t happen here in America. I do not share that belief. And history agrees with me!
President Barrack Hussein Obama is a perfect
example of the failure of our education system to teach not only how the Founders pledged their lives and fortunes to free
the Colonists from tyrannical rule but also about those principles of freedom embedded in America’s foundational documents,
principles they gleaned not only from the best scholars of their day but also from the writings of Moses, especially those
the apostle James said were “the perfect laws of liberty.”
One could conclude from his apologies that President Obama is either
ignorant of the true history of America, and its form of government ‘of the people, by the people and for the people’
or that he has a hidden agenda, an agenda that, in looking back at his presidential campaign, was plain to see but ignored
by the people who voted for him. And this man certainly is not ignorant. So I choose to believe that he has a hidden agenda,
an agenda in place for years but which waited for a Pied Piper spokesman whose speaking eloquence would create a cult like
following and vote him into office. That agenda, I believe, leads to socialism tied to the United Nation’s One World
agenda; not what the Founding Fathers had in mind, or their God, who said America’s constitutional principles of freedom were for “all mankind.”
Every Boy Scout, after earning his Citizenship
in the Nation merit badge, will know more about our nation’s form of government than this man, including all those who
counsel him as Czars, several of whom are self avowed socialists or communists. Shawn Hannity interviewed two University of Pittsburgh graduate students last week and their ignorance of America’s history and government was stunning, reinforcing beliefs that our University system is in
need of reform. Perhaps the Cherokee County school board should also take a good look at the books
they approve to teach America’s history and
Constitution. Several years ago I asked granddaughter Amanda, then a junior at Etowah, to bring home her history book. That
book blatantly said the Bill of Rights of South Africa were better than those ratified by America on December 15, 1791. Have
school boards abdicated their oath of office to defend the Constitution of the United
States?
Recently a good friend, a retired professor of political science, told me another friend had told
him that President Obama’s now obvious agenda may be, likely unintended, the greatest gift any president could have
given America since the Declaration of Independence. He said “President Obama has awaken freedom loving Americans out
of their deep slumber and that it will be difficult for Obama and his Czars to corral these newly aroused people and return
them to their slumber land.”
I always like to read letters to the Tribune editor. They are so American. Some I agree with, others
I disagree with. But isn’t that what it means to be an American, the freedom to express one’s opinion, a freedom
millions have died for but one that some Czars now want to limit in the name of fairness, a secular doctrine designed to deny
the free and open expression of opposition. This freedom to express one’s opinion is one of the four
cornerstones of America’s liberty, along with
the freedom to assemble, to worship God according one’s own conscience, and the right to defend self and family.
One
recent letter writer wrote she couldn’t understand how anyone could oppose her “kind, considerate and compassionate
president (Obama).” I see him differently. I see him as a politician determined to “change”
America from the beacon of “hope” to the world’s oppressed, in the name of social justice, to a socialistic
banana republic, not the land of freedom the Founders had in mind where individuals would be free to pursue their dream and
“secure the Blessings of Liberty for themselves and their posterity” by sweat and hard work.
