day to be grateful for God’s gift of freedom to America (850)
As Americans begin their Independence Day 4th
of July holiday celebrations, commemorating the 233rd anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence
in 1776, hopefully, they would, during their efforts to get away from the stress of daily living; to the beach, ball game,
mountains, golf course, etc, take a few moments and lead their family in a prayer of gratitude to He, whom Thomas Jefferson
referred to in his Declaration as the “Creator and Supreme Judge of the World,” for what He
has provided mankind worldwide – the opportunity to be free, to exercise their own conscience without fear of reprisals
and to elect those whom they would have govern them in open and free elections.
I
firmly believe, as did Jefferson, that the ‘Foundational Documents’ of the United States of America – the
Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, its Preamble, and Bill of Rights were documents created “by the hands
of wise men whom God (Jefferson’s Creator and Supreme Judge) raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land
by the shedding of blood.” The shedding of blood to free enslaved people is an unchangeable law of nature in action
and takes precedence over all manmade laws. This natural law is in action today in Iran as Iranians struggle to free themselves from the same form of theocratic tyranny the Colonists freed
themselves from in 1776. Iranians, as do all people living under tyrannical leaders, yearn to follow the Colonist’s
example – and live free.
I also believe, as did Jefferson, that there was a divine purpose for those wise men to create America’s Foundational
Documents, embedded throughout with principles of liberty, and that that purpose was to free mankind from tyranny so that
mankind would not be in “bondage one to another,” and so “every man may act in doctrine and principle .
. . according to the moral agency which God (Jefferson’s Creator) have given unto him . . . .,” and so those principles
would “be maintained for the rights and protection of all flesh, according to just and holy principles.” Jefferson became aware of God’s “perfect laws of
liberty” by reading the Book of James.
Most Americans today take their freedoms
for granted. And they rely on their elected leaders to protect those freedoms, freedoms that cost the lives of many of the
Founding Fathers and the millions who have died during the many wars that have been fought since 1776, and who continue to
die to protect us against those who would return mankind to slavery when Satan controls the minds of power-hungry men and
women. Apathy towards their freedom is a mistake, a freedom destroying mistake for freedom loving people.
That war for mankind’s soul, that war that
began in heaven and continues today on earth is led by those “hosts of heaven,” Lucifer’s followers, who
were cast out of heaven. Revelations, chapter 12, tells of that war and of the continuing struggle between
good and evil, a struggle that Jefferson better understood after reading the words of Moses who explained that Lucifer, after
being expelled from heaven, “became Satan, yea, even the father of all lies, to deceive and to blind men, and to keep
them captive at his will, even as many as would not hearken unto God’s (Jefferson’s Creator) voice.
Americans have no need
to apologize to the world for its actions, as some elected leaders now do, because without America the world we live in would
be dominated by the world’s Hitler’s and Stalin’s. And there would be no debate over what equality means
because that definition would be what ever those in power say it is. And there would be no “soaking the rich”
with unequal tax burdens because the only wealthy would be those in charge. And mankind would again be in “bondage,
one to another.”
Yes America, be grateful for what America has provided you and don’t apologize for what you have become, a free
people who basically believe in the same principles Jefferson and his fellow Founders believed in in 1776 when they stepped
forth to sign that Declaration that literally “changed” the world and became the ‘Foundational Cornerstone’
of the liberty and freedom American’s now enjoy.
It is now time for those who love freedom to step forward and become modern-day Minutemen and Women,’
to use their modern-day weapons, computers and web-sites, to defend their freedom and “mutually pledge to each other
their Lives, Fortunes, and Sacred Honor,” as did those 56 Founding Fathers in 1776, and help restore the Founder’s
principles of liberty into our federal government and help return “Common Sense” to an amoral government leadership
gone amuck with power and greed misdirected.
God Bless America, and all
modern-day Minutemen and Women who willingly pledge to one another their Lives, Fortunes, and Sacred Honor to preserve and
restore those
principles of liberty Americans all love so much – and will miss terribly if lost. And remember,
“Freedom and responsibility are inseparable; neither is complete without the other.”
