'Letting Go'
I think of courtship,
Walking hand in hand.
All the tender moments,
of our Wedding day.
Now, its just a memory,
because you have gone away.
I gaze out my window and,
Say " Oh, letting go is so hard to do."
I remember a house full of,
laughter and children everywhere.
Now, the house is so empty and still.
I remember smells of bread and cookies
baking in the air.
Now the smells are not here.
I remember waiting for the school bus,
and the hiss of the brakes, bringing my babies back home.
Now all the children are gone.
I sigh and say "Oh, letting go is so hard to do."
I remember a night in March,
holding my stillborn grandson in my arms.
Looking into his still but perfect face,
The hurt it was almost unbearable.
I thought, "oh, letting go is so hard to do"
So, many times in this life,
I have had to
let people and things I love go.
I wonder on the other side if,
I will ever
have to say "Oh, letting go is so hard to do ."
THE SPECIAL GIFT
There is a gift that often lies
unrecoginized,
It does not come in color or size.
It is very beautiful to see in action,
It comes in all kinds of packages.
It can be given to young and old,
It can warm a heart that has grown cold.
It is a gift you can never have too
much of,
It cannot be bought or sold.
For it my dear Savior gave his life,
This Gift if used can end all strife.
This Gift will never wear out or
need repair,
it is never out of style,
This Gift you cannot have too much
of,
you can give it to others and never run out.
It will always be treasured,
It's usefulness can not be measured.
The World needs more of it I'm sure,
It is Love so pure,

Life Is Tedious Sometimes
When I was young my mom would say life gets tedious sometimes.
I used to wonder what she meant.
As I've grown up and faced many hard times and fears,
These words I've grown to understand so well.
I find myself recalling and repeating those words thru tears,
And somehow they seem to encourage me,
they help me know if mom could make it, so can I.
I miss hearing my mom say those little words of wisdom here and there.
I recall them and they make me smile.
I hope
that to my children,
I can leave little words of wisdom to help them when,
Life gets tedious sometimes.
