"Touched By The Spirit"
I was little and the Spirit whispered,
"Father knows and loves you."
I was hasty and the Spirit alerted,
"STOP!”, and I lived.
I queried and the Spirit answered,
"Because He loves you, child."
I dreamt and the answers came
As a living rainbow.
He called as I cleaned their room,
Kneeling, tears fell as dew from Heaven.
He took my darling to His bosom,
And I wept as I missed her so!
Another sweetheart to fill my loneliness,
She patched my aching heart.
Oh! How the time flew,
As children grew and grew.
Now the patter of little feet,
Announce grandkids come to play.
Some are close and some far away,
We miss them dearly everyday.
Oh my! How the blessings flowed,
The Spirit whispered, "He still loves you.”
Misty eyes and damp pillow,
Witness a grown child's love.

IT's
Me
The face looking in is a stranger indeed
to the woman who lives inside of me
She smiles a lot and
is happy to be
the reflection of the person called me.
She doesn't know the fear deep inside,
or the
way that I tend to run away and hide,
from those on the outside as well as within;
and even from those I trust
as my friends.
Although we're the same, we're different as can be;
The face looking in is a stranger indeed,
but
the mirror knows it is definitely me!
