How many will remember that Monday will be another national
holiday, a holiday to commemorate the 517th anniversary of Columbus’ landing, on October 12, 1492, in the
Bahamas, thus discovering America, and opening up the America’s to European colonization by those seeking both economic
and religious freedom from Europe’s tyrannical governments? In 1492 all
people were ‘subjects’ of their governments.
Other than those few
state, federal and bank employees who will not have to go to work few will remember. And likely many of those will not understand
why Columbus has been immortalized. How sad! And why will they not remember? Because Columbus claimed
to have been inspired and led by Almighty God to discover America. And
as we know today, living under a Constitution created by “wise men” who too claimed they were ‘inspired
of God’ to ‘restore freedom and liberty’ in a tyrannical world, anything that mentions God is forbidden
by those ‘unwise men and women’ often referred as Supreme Court Justices.
It is of particular interest to me that of all the explorers
who ‘discovered America’ prior to 1492 only Columbus has
been immortalized as the great discoverer of America. Why?
Because there are dots that connect Columbus and his God to the God of those who colonized the Americas, and to the God of
America’s Founding Fathers who referred to Him in their foundational documents as the source of their “Laws of
Nature’s God,” and their “Creator” and “Supreme Judge of the World.” And these connecting
dots show clearly how America’s Supreme Judge answered the prayers of all those
involved in restoring freedom and liberty to a world then governed by tyranny.
And that, I believe, is why those who have hi-jacked America’s
educational and judicial systems can not allow this story of Columbus’
involvement in America’s freedom to be taught in our schools. And that
is sad, real sad! And this, I also firmly believe, is the cause of the social unrest in America today.
There is a vast majority of Americans who believe in God and they see the “changes” being made today by their
new president, in the name of ‘social justice,’ destroying the very foundation of their freedom and liberty. And
they, like the Patriots of 1775 and 1776, are mad and are doing something about it. And they, with the help of Glenn Beck,
are beginning to connect the dots and understand that Obama’s proposed “changes” are not what God had in
mind when He spoke by the “Holy Ghost” to Columbus; to the Pilgrims; to Thomas Jefferson as he drafted America’s
Declaration of Independence; to Washington as he led his rag-tag army that ‘could not possibly defeat the largest and
strongest army in the world,’ but did; to Lincoln as he drafted and signed his Emancipation Proclamation; to Gandhi
while leading the Indian nation to break their bondage, also, ironically, with England; to Dr. Martin Luther King who, following
Gandhi’s lead, led his people out of bondage, and “changed” America, for the better; and to you and me as
we seek to sooth our fears and find the answers to those perplexing problems America faces today.
And it is the same God of freedom connecting those dots. And in addition to He being the
same God there are two other things we should be aware of. The first thing is that each individual along that line of dots
‘sought after their God’ and that He, standing “at the door” opened it and invited them in, and revealed
to them that what they must do. And then He led them, as Columbus said,
by the “Holy Ghost.” The second thing is that after speaking to those individuals by the “Holy Ghost”
He sent them out to accomplish His will, giving advice, and comfort, as asked for and needed, to those laboring in His cause,
as they struggled to overcome the opposition to build America as
a free nation – for all mankind.
Wouldn’t
it be nice if every child in America’s schools today could understand how those dotes connecting Columbus to America,
the Pilgrims, the Founding Fathers, Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Gandhi and King has led to their freedom and liberty?
Hopefully these children would then see that their freedoms and liberties have been purchased by the faith in God, hard work,
and blood shed by those Patriots who treasured their freedom and liberties above the false promises of tyrants whose sole
interest was, and is today, in their own self-glory and personnel power, not the Glory of God whose sole desire is for freedom
and liberty be made available for all mankind - worldwide.
Columbus opened the door for the restoration of liberty for all
mankind. It is now up to us to keep those doors of liberty open. And it will require faith in God, an educated populace, and
hard work, even sacrifice, to keep those doors of liberty open.
