Holdings is an equal opportunity employer. Turnover among our employees
has been virtually non-existent. When additional employees are required, recruiting
is usually accomplished by word of mouth among present employees. Should that
fail to produce qualified employee candidates, the US Railroad Retirement Board maintains a data base of railroad employees
on furlough or otherwise looking for employment within the rail industry.
Other Railroads. As a result of on-going leases and engagements
with particular Class I railroads, Holdings has established working relationships with the Union Pacific Railroad and the
BNSF Railway Co. In addition, Messrs. Darling and Stolarcyzk have established
relationships with railroad officers at many levels with the BNSF Railroad, the Union Pacific Railroad, the Kansas City Southern
Railroad, the Conrail Shared Asset Co., Norfolk
Southern, and the Genesee & Wyoming Industries’ railroads.
Information
Technology. CIRY utilizes Rail Car
Management, Inc.’s (RMI’s) RailConnect® system, including its Transportation
Management Services (TMS) capabilities. RMI’s system is the railroad industry standard EDI system, runs on any
desktop computer with broadband access and is the delivery mechanism for RMI’s core
sets of services.
